My 2022 Free Aromatherapy Webinars

I am so excited to announce the topics and the dates for my 2022 webinars. These webinars will go for approximately 45 minutes and will be free of charge. Please click the links for each webinar for dates and more information.

I thought it would be important to begin with a webinar that examines one of the most common side effects of post-viral illnesses: loss of taste and smell. Aromatherapy, Covid and Anosmia webinar will examine the impact of loss of taste and smell on our wellbeing, and explore how essential oils are playing an important role in re-establishing our sense of smell.

Earlier this year, I launched Volume III of The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy in which I explore the spiritual and subtle dimension of scent. In the chapter titled Re-shamanising aromatherapy, I examined the loss of soul within healing and spiritual practices. It is this disconnect with soul that has led many of us to discover traditional practices such as meditation, shamanism or aromatherapy which seek to unite body and soul.

To commemorate International Women’s Day, I would like share with you the wisdom of Julian of Norwich (1342 – 1415) who has been described as a profound thinker, theologian and Christian mystic who provides us with hope, strength and courage. Her wisdom transcends time, and remains more relevant than ever in the twenty-first century.

In All will be well - The wisdom of Julian of Norwich and aromatherapy webinar we will explore why her work until recently was -dare I say- suppressed and neglected, and how we can use her wisdom to reclaim our sense of awe and wonderment for nature and the divine. We will examine how essential oils, together with the wisdom of Julian of Norwich, represents a return of the divine feminine that will radically transform healing by reclaiming the loss of soul.

Essential oils embody the life-giving and nurturing aspects of nature. They are a rare and precious gift from nature that allow us to flourish. We need to ensure these precious oils are sustainably sourced.

In Sustainably sourced essential oils webinar we will examine the key factors to ensure the essential oils we use are sustainably produced.

In The Germ theory and the Terrain theory - Who is right?  webinar We investigate the origins of the germ theory and the terrain theory, explore the foundations of a holistic naturopathic approach to promote wellbeing, examine if the germ and terrain theory need to be mutually exclusive, and discuss how we can be better prepared for future pandemics and influenza outbreaks.

Japan is home to many unique plants that are well known for their traditional and medicinal uses. The essential oils of these plants are fascinating and quite unique. In Rare Japanese essential oils webinar, I introduce you to two of these unique essential oils kuromoji (Lindera umbellate) and Sanshyo (Zanthoxylum piperitum) also known as 'mountain pepper' or 'Japanese pepper.' We will discuss the traditional uses of these plants, and explore the chemistry of the two oils which allows us to provides us with valuable insight into the aromatherapeutic uses of the oils. We will also meet the distiller of these precious oils; who follows strict sustainability practices and support and respect the needs and traditional practices of the local communities from which the plants can be found.

Even those of us who do not profess to know anything about astrology know our sun sign, also known as the 'star sign' or 'birth/zodiac sign.' We are also likely to be aware of the personality traits and archetypes associated with our sun sign. In Sun signs and aromatherapy webinar we will explore each of the sun signs, and how they relate to our psychological and personality traits. We will also explore the correlation between essential oils and how they reflect the character of the sun signs.

The mints have been used for their medicinal properties for thousands of years. Gratitude can be conceptualised as a moral virtue, an attitude, an emotion, a habit, a personality trait or a coping mechanism.  Gratitude is the appreciation of what is valuable and meaningful to oneself and reflects a state of thankfulness and/or appreciation. Many researchers have identified a relationship between gratitude and wellbeing. In Aromatherapy, Gratitude & Wellbeing webinar we explore the role that essential oils play in reinforcing gratitude and associated positive health outcomes.
